AM Shift
Suppose to meet tini early tat day.. but was like 15 mins late (Oops sry =p).

Posted to Resus Rm (0700-1100)
Early morning got nothing much to do lah.. so SSN went thru with me some skills lah n better techniques.. then hor when i saw the SSN break the Ampule cap bare hands, i tot to myself wah cool.. so yah i tried bare hands lah n guess wad after breaking i felt coldness on my finger - i Cut myself.. SSN was like Alamak got blood liao. Hahas but for experience its okie lah at least now i noe =).@ 1100 another SSN told me to go for break cus got no interesting cases for me to do n somemore Danna was there liao.. so went for break, Came back @ 1130 n guess wad.. when i return got so many cases liao.. Was freaking busy till 1130 like tat.
Manage to participate in another resus attempt lah .. tis time i drag danna with me cus she haven do. Got paramedic students there lah but they were jus standing ard n the SN doing the CPR was oreadi tried so i took over followed by danna lor.YIPEEE this time around the patient survive YEAH!! Feel DAmn Shiok to Rescue somebody =).

When i got to the triage.. everything was oreadi in a mess n the SsN couldnt manage. So i was like rushing here n there.. till there isnt any case then the SSN allowed me to type the information will she assess the patient.. wah i was damn stressed lor.. cus got some patient nid translation so i was doing alot things at the same time.

The A/E was damn chaotic..

Had briefing with Mr Ismail in tutorial rm lah then listen to his lame jokes n crap till i got so tired.. i rest my head on the table, nxt thing i noe.. i blackout. OMG SO pAisei lor.. i Fell Alsp without knowing =p.. think i work too hard liao.

Was in the same train as tini n i didnt noe lor.. but she saw me .. sleeping zzz =p

hahas nothing much.. in fact didnt have any interesting cases lor so was siting ard with the SN.. chit chating on medical related stuff.

Hahas i didnt even go there lor..Cus dun have much cases.. went for break then after break got briefing.. by the time everything finish.. time to go HOME hehehehehe... =pBriefing was held in the OT tutorial rm lah cus wanted to c the other grp in their scrubs n Mr ismail wanted to drill them.. y cus the sister complain tat someone put her leg on the tea table (Wah Lou.. Too Much Le).

PM Shift
Again was in the same train as Tini.. but i didnt realise untill i saw somebody in white walking towards me.. hahas sat next to her then cus i was so sleepy, slept all the way.
Had the PDA Scaning by Andy n Naz from 1430- 1600.. hahas basicalli was wasting time lah.. Went up to the OT then listen to their stories

Today arh.. wah Super Freaking Busy lor.. cases come in Non-stop hahas but the SSN allow me to type n assess the patient with her guidence..

For the first time.. treatment area was also so busy... Did alot of ECGs, gave nebuliser, etc.. I was so busy till i didnt noe it was 1900.. went for my break then observe n assist in backslab.

Mum came to fetch me from work lah.. hahas she told me tat she actualli walked into the A/E dept.. N Didnt C Me At ALL.. Amazing hahas think when she came in tat time, i was with the dr JoEL becos got abnormal ECG readings.

Thursday 20.09.07
Day Shift(1000-1800)
Overslept by an hr.. Rushed to work, Heng arh..Reached there at least got like 10 mins to spare to rest.

Posted to Treatment(1000-1400)
Didnt go there due to when me n Clare reach there.. got Li Hsien n Danna there liao, like that too many ppl le. So Went to observation rm.. got Li Ping there but she can manage lah so we went to Resus Rm.. hahas though there oreadi got Anna n Yi Qin but they were too busy, plus the staff there thought we were suppose to be there to help out.. In the end we stayed there lah.. but clare later disappeared to treatment rm. Got Pricked by needle when i was preparing the ATT injection for 1 patient who sustain injuries after his Forklift hit something.Before preparing, i went to c the wound lah.. OMG the Wound was HUGE (Big toe to Ankle) n Can c the muscle le..Plus the blood was still following out 1 burst blood vessel.. Eww..

Went for my Lunch break @ 1300 but the presentation was going to start so i onli had barley drink for lunch(didnt have appetite anyway). Hmm my Grp presented on APO(Acute Pulmonary Oedema).. Nothing much lah..After the presentation, Brother Koh cun stay with us due to another meeting he had to attend so i went for my break @ 1400.

Went in n there isn't much patients lah.. so Stayed there lor.Did alot of sending.. cus there isn't much space in the rm plus these patients have stayed long enough.. Came across this patient with NSTEMI(Non ST Elevation Myocardial Infarction).

TMl is off day for me but working on saturday.. Damn it :(

A/E Nurse Pledge
ER nurses are the Top Guns of their profession. In few other
areas do nurses practice with such autonomy & responsibility as they do in
the pitt. They have a reputation for being independent, assertive &
tough.

New ER nurses thinks that the hardest part of the job will be
the rapid pace and the trauma. But those who stayed soon realized that the true
challenge is the human misery. It's wearing. The demands and complaints are
many,and the thank you's are few. It's easy to feel used up.

So, to survive, ER nurses develop a protective shield. They
learn to parcel out caring when needed, but to sace some for the next guy. They
also learned to save a little for themselves

Went to work early lah.. then upon reaching, saw Mr Ismail at the counter with Tini n LiPing.. Wah Someone so Nice to Come down on sat to help us sign the PDA so tat we reach 80%

hmm nothing much lah jus tat got quite alot of RTA cases n lots n lots of x-rays to be done.. there were quite a few asthma cases as well.

Been losing my appetite recently.. had to force myself to eat something otherwise i'll collapse.. Went to Qi Ji to buy cheng teng arh.. at least something lah.. didnt have the appetite to eat large quantities.

wah got so much things to do.. me n SN Rohanna cun keep up lor.Cus every now n then got cases that require to uptriage. Was Freaking Busy.. Work till i became soo Hypo. nearly fainted.. Heng arh.. it was so bad tat when i took my pulse.. it was 100+ lor (normal : 60-100).

Rush back home.. tot need to buy dinner for my family.. end up no need hahas.

Goal for Everyday : To Life it to the Fullest n Be happy at the end of the day
