Haiz Shift schedule start liao.. no more 8-4 shift le :(
Had Morning Shift lah (7-3pm).. Woke up @ 5am to get to Simei by 6.45am.. Heng arh i nearly miss my train, otherwise confirm late one.

Upon Reaching simei i wasnt used to not waiting for tini to go to work together hahas .. feels weird sia. When i reach CGH.. no idea where to go so i jus tot of waiting for the other gals to arrive.. then i saw Li Ping siting on the bench then sat next to her lor .. waited for the rest to arrive then the grp of us entered the A/E department.

We were being orientated by one SN hor WAH LOu her voice is so SOft.. can hardly hear her, hmm A/E is divided into 4 sections lah Triage, Treatment, Resuscitation n Observation...After tat we jus waited for Sister to arrive then had our briefing lor.. which was a funny one hehe =p.
From wad i remember was one of the joke : Sister ask how r we going to do ECG for a hairy patient?.. our first answer was Shave lor .. but ECG leads are patches leh then Sister ask" so u going to shave jus nice for the leads then like tat the patient's chest hair got patches lor" HAHAHAHA SO FUnny!.

I got posted to the Treatment rm lah,, together with Daanna. Got to noe some of the ITE students there.Basicalli this here onli nid to to ECG, dressings,injections n give Ventolin to asthma cases... Did some ECG readings there.. under the supervision of the SN =p. Then ard 11am like tat Mr Ismail came then he ask whether can open the curtain cus he wanted to c me do ECG.. but hor hahas cun cus the patient is a female =p.

As all students have to rotate areas.. so at ard 1130 i was posted to the observation rm.. LiPing was there lah.. kinda confused on wads going on then SN Pricilla told me to prepare IM Injection for patient.. omg si Arh.. i so long didnt do injection liao OH oh.. got alot of nagging from her lah Oops. Observation rm basicalli is jus receive patients from the Resuscitaion rm then observe them lor.. c whether can discharge or admit. then while i taking my parameters.. suddenly got a loud shout from outside then got CODE BLUE.. then after the commotion, 1 of the male SN came in with Scratches on his arm lor..omg.
hmmm nothing much happen after tat.. jus tat 1 patient was so weak from all the vomitting tat she cun walk/stand lor.

10-6pm Shift
Wah lou this date realli damn Suay lor.. me early morning kenna so many things to do like my mum left the clothes outside n then got thunder storm so i had to bring the clothes in, wash them and hang them wah by the time i finish.. me late liao

Meeting Tini @ 9.15am mah so rush out of the hse then caught bus 106 hehe then wah lou i standing in the bus hor then tis Indian man bump into me lor.. the thing is he stare @ me TWICE.. Like i in the fault, WTH . Then my bus got caught in a massive jam.. -_-'' instead of a 8 min bus ride.. it was a 30 mins ride lor..
When finalli got to Clementi MRT station.. i jus nice miss my train -_-'''

Tini Called me then we arrange to take the same train together lah since she also jus left her hse.. hahas but hor some miscommunication.. she board the train which i missed. Haiz.. the train was Damn Pack lor but went reach Tanjong Pajar.. got seat liao =p.. Slept till tanah Merah so i tot can jus slp another 5 mins lah.. hahas nearly miss the station =p

Got posted to Resuscitation (1000-1400).
Nothing Much lah jus tat nid to receive patient from the Ambulance then take ECG,Vital signs then obtain information from patient n wad happen.. hmm interesting cases would be got tis Ah Ma.. Wah SO Strong lor,she kept struggling then yah while trying to hold her down she twisted my left wrist backwards = die my hand haven heal totalli yet. Had to restrain her lah then when she couldnt 'fight' she use her spitting kungfu (hahas) but once put mask on her.. cannot liao =p hehe.

hmm i onli notice got alot of RTA cases then got alot of patients coming from nursing homes n changi prison. Then hor got one case Wah lou the old man was bleeding alot lor.. somemore from the head.
Learn to do cardiac Monitoring there lah =p

Posted to Triage (1400-1800)
Liping was there when i arrive then down there basicalli jus get the card from the registration counter then call out patient name. Once patient has settled.. Take his/her vital signs , Obtain info on wads the complaint, location of problem.. pain location,quality n score. drug allergy, medical history n whether got travel overseas anot. After tat arrange which rm/doctor,get queue no then inform patient to wait for queue no then pass the information to the doctor.
nothing much lah.. was beri busy from 4.30pm onwards lah.

Arh got one case was a mother n daughter one.. involve RTA. Apparently @ a cross junction the victim was cleared to move lah (green light) but a car trying to beat the red light didnt stop n bang into patient car lor. Another was tis guy is illegal immigrant lah but his cuff were not metal one leh.. but belt one then hor he was cuffed from heads to legs lor (like 'I' shape) then got 2 officers lah.
Another was tis guy got suicidal thoughts lah then wants to c doc then when i taking his vital signs.. he kept looking @ my name tag lor.. omg so scary =(

Time went by so fast.. didnt noe it was time to off duty lor.

10-6 Shift
Was Freaking Early tat day, Unknowingly i reach simei @ 8.45am. Called tini but she was @ tanjong Pagar so i went in first.
Wah Lou Jus nice lor when i went in... the ADON n Sisters were abt to conduct a audit trial run.. -_-''' like tat cannot on the TV.

Posted to Observation Room (1000-1400)
Went in then got onli 3 patients lor.. so took parameters then slack ard with the SN n EN Yati. Hmm more patients came in at abt 1130 like tat.. then hor everything starts coming in lor.. was super busy. 1 interesting case was got tis guy come in for alcohol intoxication lah = Drunk, then he kept shouting n asking to urine.. but when i pass him the urinal.. he told me to get out (same for the other nurses). Got Fed up so SN left the bottle next to him n left.

POsted to Resuscitaion room (1400-1800)after lunch
Went in then got not many cases lah.. yah the usual lah.. abt 3pm then all the emergency cases start coming in.Tat day for some reason hor during my time there (2-6pm).. Dun have RTA Case lor hmm amazing. But hor got a few army cases.

One interesting 1 was the patient was brought in on a stretcher by 4 army guys then when the doctor reviewed him.. he ask the medic y they brought him to A/E when its an army case, Somemore the patient is a Drug Abuser caught in by them. Like tat should be police case mah.
Then hor the patient got alot of IV lines lor.. 1 on Right,2 on Left Plus the medic inserted a catheter into the patient.

When the doctor called the patient.. he play unconcious then the doctor did something then the patient suddenly was awake lor -_-''. The patient was Shouting tat his head hurt alot n say he got head injury, then the doctor ask him wad he wanted then (i forgot wad happen) the patient start shouting n insulting the doctor n CGH lor then commmented tat the staff dun noe how he feels. The Doctor then told him got other patients in the resus rm n r alot worse then him but they not screaming like he is (=p hehe) Then the patient wanted the staff to remove the cathether but doctor told him to wait for the nurse.. then patient wanted it to be removed immediately then hor the doctor say" if u can tahan the pain, by all means remove lor"After tat doc told him" i will onli attend to u when u decide talk to me decently" Wah tis doctor damn cool sia.. if me hor.. probably freak out liao.

After tat the army guys tie him up n brought him out of the resus rm. While doing tat the patient was grabbing onto the army guy's uniform(the one pushing him).. then the guy say" i give u one more chance to let go of my shirt or u will be sorry" Wah so fierce.

PM Shift (1-9pm)
WEnt to Work as usual lah then on the way tini sms me on where was i.. then after she told me where she was, i got a feeling tat either we taking the same train or she took the one b4 me. Upon arriving @ simei.. hahahas saw her coming out of the train too (=p hehe i was correct).

Had debriefing by Mr Ismail, talk alot of crap lah hahas = waste time mah =p

The Usual lah.. then nothing much. When got nothing to do.. talk to SSN (Senior staff Nurse)lor .
I didnt go to the other location on time lah cus both areas were next to each other then both sides got nothing to do.hmm Due to shorthand of staff.. i had to do alot of ECG lah.. hahas tats during the peak period.

Hmm ard 1600 hrs got yr 2 come into the A/E lah then clare found out tat got yr2 working in IMH collapse n was send to A/E lor.. Resus ppl were on the look out lah then when she arrive.. she was having Shortness of Breath (SOB) lah, nothing serious.

onli went in after my dinner then basicalli got nothing to do lah. hmm ard 1900hrs got alot of case liao. RTA , Asthma n ECGs. Did dressing for 1 patient.. wah got alot of wounds lor..

When treatment got nothing to do i will pop into triage to help out then SN had to handle 3 violent illegal immigrants.. on the report it stated tat they kick n punch the police officers n smash the window when the officers were trying to put them in the car.

Ard 2000hrs then the place was once again pack with ppl. Tried to help out lah cus anyway i going off duty liao then had to find clare who went missing hmmm...but saw her wearing gloves walking into resus rm

After signing out.. went into the Resus rm then jus happen i turn my head n saw the three (tini,jiaying n clare) with gloves on n like waiting for patient like tat .. Clare then told me tat got 1 patient coming in nid to resus.. DO CPR lah. So i decided to participate too cus not always got such cases, but hor my left waist is still injured lah.Wah wad kind of luck is this.. personalli i dun wish anybody to come in with nid to resus but I had to sign the logbook .. fufill the criteria of doing CPR once. :(

When the patient arrive ...Doctors n nurses did all tats necessary lah : CPR, insertion of ETT, infuse drip n give the emergency drugs. Clare was first to do the CPR then followed by Hartini, Jiaying, SN Shazana n Me.. After doing wah i can literalli feel like my left wrist like going to break like tat.. feeling the pain liao then tini say its swollen oreadi. The 4 of us continue to take turns to do CPR ..pumping the patient's chest with hope of bring the patient back to life... but for abt 15 mins of non-stop CPR n drugs .. the patient's heart wave was still Asystole (one straight line). Doctors decided to call off the resus cus if patient is not revive in 20 mins.. considered dead liao. The Case was send to Coroners n doctors then went out to announce the patient's death.

Though i didnt show any expression but i was kinda sad n depressed tat i could not revive the patient n he jus died in front of me. The 4 of us then did Post-Mortume..wrap the patient up n sent to the rm for the family members to c the patient. The thing is patient is malay n dead jus when puasa started.



When the 4 of us left.. me, jiaying n clare saw the patient's family in the room with the staff nurse consoling them.. I felt worse but not as bad as tini who looks like wan to cry like tat.


The 4 us went back together lah cus so late liao... hahas were busy cam whoring in the train lah.. aiyah heck care the other ppl.. we a bit sort sort liao after all the commotion.My Left wrist Got alot worse lah.. now the pain is much much worse then b4.. my left wrist was very hot lor even though i didnt do anything for 30 mins..haiz tml going to wear the boxing glove liao.

PM Shift

Went to Work as usual then it was Raining heavily lah.. so my train got delayed ard bedok there . Tini sms me whether do i have umbrella.. SiMei there was Raining super heavy.The both of us shared 1 umbrella.. by the time we reach CGH.. we were soaked pretty bad, Our Shoes made the Squshy sound.Omg A/E is So COLD. Mr Ismail was waiting outside to catch any late comers lah.. wah lou he hide one corner, if tini didnt talk to him i wont have notice him lor.
Had briefing lah but onli got 6 gals.. the other 7 working on saturday.(Haiz, i nearly mistaken its me lor.. haha me next sat then working). Anna Said yesterday after the patient which i tried to resus, got another 1 @ 11pm. Then tat morning got another case too lah.. Anna participated.. she said the patient is a lady n she actualli hanged herself @ 6am n was found by her husband. When she arrive tat time, she still got pulse.. but after 30 mins of CPR.. it was not successful. Anna said the lady had a very thick line on her neck lah.

Cus i injuried my left hand yesterday.. there were alot of things i could not do.. let clare do lor..

Gave ATT Injection to one patient lah.. haiz somemore nid the EN help.Nothing much happen lah jus tat got alot of very bad accidents n patient require dressing. Got 2 cases lah... One is the Aircon man fell from 2m then cut his left hand on the fence.. the wound stretches from the wrist to the tip index finger n the index finger is abit out of shape lah, the skin is stretched open lah.. pretty bad lah n got alot of dried blood but the patient was calm n got surgery scheduled for him in the evening.

The OTher case came in when i was assisting the dressing for the aircon man.. The Indian guy came into the rm crying lor.. then when the Staff Nurse ask him wad happen.. he refuse to say jus kept crying, Staff nurse ask the Supervisor.. He too also dunno wad happen. After laying the protective sheet on the floor in case got blood, Wore my Glove then help the Staff nurse hold the Right Hand while she went to call the Doctor.. I jus happen to inspect the wound, the wound is seriously very bad. It stretches from wrist to the Fourth Finger then when i look closely.. i notice the 3rd finger got no colour.. very pale then i saw like something protruding out. I turn my head n saw 1/2 of the finger sticking out.. the other 1/2 is the onli thing tats keeping the finger intact to the hand.. OMG EWWW!! Saw the bone lah.. nearly puke.

Nothing much lah.. take parameters like tat onli lor.Then hor after Dinner i went back in, Wah.. First time hor there isnt any Patient in the rm.. Totalli cleared lor!. The SN then told me to go other place lah since got nobody. Went to resus then there also got nothing to do so i went to Triage to help out.

When got nothing to do, I asked SSN Lynette about the indian man injury.. she told me if the finger can be saved, they will sent the indian man to SGH cus there got hand specialist to re-attach the veins n blood vessels. But if totalli no hope for the guy, Doctors @ CGH will amputate the finger.

When going home tat time, The 4 of us (myself,tini,jiaying n Clare) talked about any interesting cases lah.. We were like usual lah.. Ki Siao like tat hahahs. @ the station, Clare mention about 1 case in the resus, i too saw the lady lah.. she got one Black eye n she PSY. Clare said got some ppl lah actualli insert things above their eye to make themselve look more beautiful.. for example would be diamond n needles. So the lady actualli inserted something lah.. omg disgusting.
