My second Bro received 4 tickets to watch tis event.. so yah myself, mum, cousin n Aunt went to watch.

As i wasnt feeling well... mum drove for the day. Fetched my cousin n aunt then we parked the car next to victoria Theatre hahas. We were Lucky.. somemore there is free parking =p. While walking to the marina promonade(dunno spelling), We jus happen to catch tis grp of korean film production crew in action with some actors but never seen them b4. There was tis BMW with a korean number plate.. hahas cool isit =p

We were to seat @ the Blue Sector.. N the place was freaking HOT... omg onli made me feel worse. As today is onli a rehearsal... confirm things tat i'm gonna c will not be the best but at least i noe wads going on. The Event started ard 5pm+ with the Hosts coming to the stage from a boat... i onli remember 2 host which is i think Belinda & Annabell Francis.

The temperature didnt cool off till like 6.30pm.. so yah.. i was like going to faint any moment.. n da host were like trying to get us to do the MARINA WAVE.. -_-''' unfortunately it was unsuccessful.. In the beginning there were singings n dances but hor i started to c mistakes made... one girl forgot her dance steps n was like standing there for quite some time b4 dancing .. hahas. As the beginning was so boring.. i started to take pics lah
I guess the interesting part started when the Red Lions came down bah... tat drew the crowd attention to the sky immediately.

After that it was the Marching in of the uniformed groups. The picture below actualli shows NDP ' 07

After tat there was the songs n the ministers coming in.. but since it was onli a rehearsal... the ministers plus the president didnt come so jus to practice.. there were guys going on stage, taking on the role of the minister BUT holding the paper with the role they were playing... for example SM. The Funny thing was tat they got young guys to play so it was like for example SM ~ a young man... hahas. At first most of us actualli tot tat the real ones were coming but when we found out... all of us were laughing. There were some who actualli wave at the 'ministers'.. hahas.

Then We had our national Antherm, n then helicopters flew pass carrying the big singapore flag... damn cool.

Once the antherm finish... 3 F16 planes flew pass.. but becos it was SOO DAMN LOUD.. i had no choice but to cover my ears instead of taking pictures.. Nearly went deaf. After tat there were 5 planes which made a pattern..
Then the soldiers started to move again.. this time they formed the word NS 40.. tis year national service celebrating its 40th anniversary mah. After tat it was the usual lah.. got firing of blank round n the guys shot the cannon too.. But Hor they place the cannon jus next to the benjamin sheares bridge n when they fire... the sound was soo loud tat cars driving pass had to slow down... Jus imagine u driving half way suddenly got tis loud BANG..scary

After tat the guys on stage marched off... then suddenly got many armed army guys came running from the top.. then once taking their position.. they pose in threes.. So Cool.

After tat the army displayed their latest weapons n vehicles (Land, Air & Water).. First was the Chenok.. came down so close to the water, thus creating tis tornado like mist..

After tat there were the Apachi (Air) Some Petrol boats (water) , Speed cruisers (water), Rhino (Land) Riot Van (Land)n Vehicles or special forces.. As most people were looking down, there were some pointing up into the sky.. so i look up lor KPO lor hahas... Guess wad.. it was a passenger plane flying on top n ppl were saying there's one more plane hahahas

Once it was done, the various vehicles have went back, i saw this Bird Like Cloud, so i decided to take a picture of it.. Unexpectedly there was a small firework...hahas Hao Qiao.. i caught it in the picture too... Luckly me =p

Then the evening show started.. this year theme was regarding the elements i think.. first performance was abt water creatures. There were Jelly Fish Like balls Pulled by those army boats.. thus making as if the jelly fish were realli swimming.

Here's the fuuny part, Firstly there were many kites actualli flew into the water n then disappear (tat thing is very expensive!!). Then Remember those starfish n snails i mentioned earlier... as they again were running onto the stage.. apparently the front ppl stop suddenly so those behind couldnt stop in time.. then tose kids were like banging into each other's back.. BUT the cute thing was.. those right at the back could stop in time.. but they saw it as quite fun so they purposely ran n bang into the front person.. hahas..

As the Show ended.. the performers were celebrating.. then suddenly their co-ordinator told them to stay back as there were many mistakes.. hahas.

Seeing such things brings back memories of my performance in NDP 2001.. Realli miss performing for NDP.. But I'll Never miss getting sick of KFC during those times hahas ( all performers were provided with KFC for dinner thoughout the whole preparation n practicing mah)

While Waiting for my second bro.. i decided to take self pic.. then after taking i realise i was jus infront of the oriental hotel hahas.

My aunt n Cousin went off first then mum n me went to marina square for toilet break then bought dinner Plus Secret recipe cakes.. after tat went back to the car (bro was waiting there.. hahas he actualli drove the car in his boots)then home...
